The Renault 5 Turbo is still, and has long been, a much admired, sought after and desirable car. This absolute show-stopper, which was launched at the Paris Motor Show in October 1978, revolutionised the world of motor sport.
This little bombshell, which was still only a static mock-up, generated a lot of column inches, aroused a great deal of attention and won a lot of races; in short, it became firmly established in the pantheon of classic cars, so great was the extent to which it influenced its generation.
